Assistant Professor for Visual Communication in the Mass Communication Department
Minimum Qualifications
The applicant must have completed an MFA or PhD in Graphic Design, Visual Communication Design, or a related field from a reputable North American (U.S. or Canada) or Western European university. All candidates should possess a technical mastery of industry-standard technologies and software, including the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and have a strong foundation in typography & hierarchy. The ideal candidate should have a strong commitment to quality teaching, have a mix of academic, professional and technical expertise in this area. He/she should possess excellent communication skills in English, must be ambitious, self-motivated, hard-working, with the ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
Gulf University for Science & Technology (GUST)
Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) was established in 2002 as Kuwait's first private American-model liberal arts university. GUST currently offers several programs in Arts and Sciences, Engineering and Business, including an MBA degree.
