Outstanding Scholarship
Available for all nationalities. Discount per semester is decided by committee.
Requirements
- Minimum ACR 45 credits
- Minimum High school GPA 3.5
- Siblings are not allowed to apply to the same scholarship
Financial Aid Scholarship
Available for all nationalities. Discount per semester is decided by committee.
Requirements
- Minimum ACR 30 credits
- Minimum GPA to apply 3.00
- Siblings are not allowed to apply to the same scholarship
- Limit to apply only 4 semesters
Sheikh Jaber Funds Scholarship
Available for Kuwaitis only. Discount per semester is decided by Sheikh Jaber Funds.
Requirements
- Minimum ACR 15 credits
- Minimum GPA to apply 2.00
Rules
- The Outstanding, Financial aid and Sheikh Jaber scholarships are granted for one semester and the committee determines the percentage to be awarded
- The fund covers a specific amount, not the entire tuition fee of the semester
- The student is eligible to apply again, as long as the conditions mentioned are maintained
- Son/Daughter of GUST employee/ Faculty cannot apply
- Must not be holding or availing any other scholarship in GUST
- Must pay 70 KD computer service charge and student activities charge
- The grant covers a maximum of (15 credits) during the semester for which the student is applying
- No disciplinary decision must be issued against the student
- Must be enrolled in a minimum (12 credits) unless a graduate

Minister of Education Scholarship
Requirements
- High school GPA 90%
- Must pass the CS placement test
- Must pass English & Math placement tests without foundation
- 26-month valid highschool certificate (2 years and 2 months)
Highschool Merit
Available for MIS or Computer Science Majors.
Requirements
- MIS Applicants should have a GPA of 95% and above and 90% for Computer Science)
- Must pass English & Math placement tests without foundation
- Add any documents the applicant has that might help them (financial issues, rents, bank depts./ loans etc.)
- 26-month valid highschool certificate (2 years and 2 months)
Rules
- Student must enroll in minimum 15 credits per regular semester
- Student have 4 years after matriculation (completing foundation) to complete all requirements for a bachelor’s degree at GUST
- Student must maintain a Cumulative GPA of 3.5
- The scholarship will ONLY pay for the tuition fees of required credits that are included in the major sheet. Any costs related to overloads of extra courses, penalties, repetitions to raise the GPA and late registration must be covered by the student
Discounts
Discount for Spouses, Siblings and Children
If two children from the same family register for a semester in the University, the second student will receive a discount of 10% of the total tuition fees. If there are three children, the second and third students will receive a discount of 15% each. If the number of siblings is more than three, all but the first student will receive a discount of 20% of the total tuition fees.
Discounts for University Employees
- GUST offers a 20% discount of tuition fees for its employees’ children and spouses (each child)
- Can't apply to GUST Siblings discount
