Ahmad K AlShallal joined the department of Mass Communication & Media in 2020. \nHis research is broadly focused on understanding the uses of mobile and social media content. AlShallal has been interviewed about his field of expertise by news outlets including Kuwait TV, Al-Qabas and Murray Life Magazine. \n\nAlShallal earned his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Mass Communication Studies from Murray State University, USA and a Ph.D. in New Media from the University of Southern Mississippi, USA. \n\nHe has published in Journalism Practice, Communication and the Public, Journal of Media and Religion, and others.
