About the Faculty Member
Ahmad K. AlShallal is a scholar and practitioner in the field of Mass Communication & Media, with a focus on mobile and social media content, digital media, and integrated marketing communication. Since joining the Department of Mass Communication & Media in 2020, AlShallal has been at the forefront of exploring the evolving uses and impacts of digital platforms in modern communication. His research has been published in leading academic journals, including Journalism Practice, Communication and the Public and the Journal of Media and Religion, contributing valuable insights to the fields of journalism, media literacy, and public relations. AlShallal holds a Ph.D. in New Media from the University of Southern Mississippi, USA, and earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mass Communication Studies from Murray State University, USA. As an expert in his field, AlShallal has been invited to share his insights with prominent news outlets, including Kuwait TV, Al-Qabas, and Murray Life Magazine. AlShallal’s teaching interests include Public Relations & Advertising, Media Literacy, Integrated Marketing Communication and Mass Media, where he inspires the next generation of media professionals to navigate the complexities of the digital age with creativity and critical thinking.
