Dr. Shahd Al Shammari, Assistant Professor of English at Gulf University for Science and Technology, has been elected to the Editorial Board of the international academic journal, Disability & Society. As an editor on the editorial board of the journal, Dr. Al Shammari will be reviewing articles submitted by academics worldwide, while ensuring the tone and direction of the editorial publishing policy.Disability & Society is an international disability studies journal that provides a focus for debate about issues such as human rights, discrimination, definitions, policies and practices. It appears against a backdrop of constant change in the ways in which disability is viewed and responded to.
