Michel Zaitouni is an Associate Professor of Business Administration at Gulf University for Science and Technology in the College of Business Administration since September 2008. He holds a Ph.D in Business Management from the University of Poitiers, France. Prior to joining GUST, Dr. Zaitouni was an Assistant professor, as well as The General Secretary at the School of Business and the School of Law at the University of Kaslik,Lebanon. In addition, He taught the Human Resource Management course in the MBA Level at the University of Balamand,Lebanon. He has several publications in international academic journals. The central focus of Michel's research is in the areas of Human Resource Management,Leadership,Employee Training and Development and learning styles in organizations. Using matched employer employee data, his research in industrial organization examines the effect of Human Resource Practices on firm and worker performance. His research in learning styles focuses on the link between organizational learning and strategy formulation. he also examines the impact of ethical and emotional leadership on employee creative behavior, motivation and commitment to change.
