About the Faculty Member

Maharik (Mahariq) graduated from the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Palestine Polytechnic University in 2003. He earned his MSc in Electrical Machines from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, in 2009. Dr. Mahariq achieved his first PhD in Computational Electromagnetics from Middle East Technical University in 2014 and a second PhD in Photonics from TOBB Economic and Technology University in 2017. Promoted to Associate Professor in 2018, he currently serves in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Gulf University for Science and Technology. Ibrahim Mahariq has authored over 120 research articles. He is presently serving as the chair of GUST Engineering and Applied Innovation Research Centre (GEAR), fostering innovation and research at the university.
