About the Faculty Member

Dr. Wassim Daher holds the position of Associate Professor in Applied Mathematics at Gulf University for Science and Technology since October 2015 and Assistant Professor in Applied Mathematics at Gulf University for Science and Technology since September 2008. After receiving his bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Lebanese University in 1999, Dr. Daher joined the University of Franche-Comte in France and earned a master degree in Mathematics and Applications. In 2000, he moved to the University of Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne where he specialized in economic theory. After earning a master degree in Mathematical Methods and Models in Economics, he joined the PhD program in Applied Mathematics at the same university with a scholarship from the French government. In 2006, he was appointed as a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at the American University of Beirut. In 2007, he was a lecturer at the American University of Beirut, Notre Dame University and CNAM, Lebanon in which he taught different courses in Mathematics, Financial Mathematics, and Microeconomics. In summer 2008, he was a visiting professor in the Department of Economics at the. University of Virginia, USA.
