The International Support Center at GUST Manages and coordinates various aspects of international programs to promote global engagement, fostering international collaborations, and supporting the diverse needs of international students.
Main Roles:
- Manages GUST’s international agreements based on the VPAA advise
- Maintains communications between GUST and all its international academic partners
- Maintains and updates policies and procedures related to the international scholarships
- Plans for partner institution’s virtual meetings and/or visits by scheduling meetings and creating agendas and meeting summaries
- Facilitate the GUST graduate scholarship program, GUST summer scholarship programs, and Faculty Fellowship program, sends announcements, respond to inquiries, and organize the receipt of applications; organizes information sessions for both faculty and students
- Compiles and assists in preparing letters and memos, budgeting, gathering data related to scholarships, and other VPAA tasks if required
- Promotes GUST students’ international scholarship opportunities (research and announcements)
- Prepare to organize, and announce seminars by international universities
- Prepare a proposal for possible new programs under the directives of the VPAA
- Coordinates between all academic/non-academic units
- Assists the VPAAO in setting up the academic affairs strategic plan and with any other duties as assigned
