GUST Hosts Korean Ambassador for Cultural and Academic Partnership
On October 30, 2024, Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) hosted H.E. Mr. Park, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, accompanied by a notable entourage from the Korean Embassy. The meeting concentrated on promoting significant cultural projects that will enhance our university community and boost Kuwaiti awareness for Korean legacy and modern culture.
GUST Library already proudly hosts cultural corners for India, the UAE, Spain, France, and Germany. A Korean Corner would be an inspiring addition. J'Amy McCracken, the library's manager, emphasized inclusivity and intellectual development and GUST's commitment to cultural diversity on campus.
Discussions included student and teacher exchange programs, relationships with Korean academic and industrial institutions, and cultural exchange. These projects support GUST's goal of enriching experiential learning and global awareness.
We thank all participants for their valuable contributions to this discourse. Our diverse GUST community is enriched by teachers with Korean origin or academic pursuits who promote cultural interchange and improve teaching.
We anticipate the significant collaborations that await us!
