Open Publishing Agreements
The GUST Library is actively supporting open access publishing by participating in various programs designed to create a sustainable publishing ecosystem. These programs provide GUST faculty members with opportunities to publish open access, without APCs or with discounts and partial or full GUST sponsorship.
- ACM Open (Read & Publish): As part of its commitment to open access and wider dissemination of research, the GUST Library has subscribed to ACM Open. This agreement allows GUST faculty members to publish their research in any ACM journal or conference without having to pay article processing charges (APCs). This initiative fosters greater visibility and impact for GUST research by making it freely available to a global audience.
Author Identifier
- ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID): To ensure proper attribution and visibility of your research, all GUST researchers must register for a unique ORCID identifier.
- Publons: Create a Researcher ID with Publons to track your publications, access citation metrics, peer reviews, and journal editing work in a single, easy-to-maintain profile.
- Google Scholar: This allows you to set up a profile which contains your publications. The profile also provides you with various author metrics, such as h-index.
