GCC Summits: A Historical Overview Display at GUST Library
In celebration of Kuwait hosting the 45th GCC Summit, with the attendance of all GCC leaders and their representatives to deliberate on strategic issues, the GUST Library showcased a special digital presentation highlighting the history and timeline of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summits.
The presentation featured a gallery of photos and key highlights from the main issues or events discussed at each summit. The GCC was first proposed in 1976 by the late Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, emphasizing Kuwait’s vital role in fostering unity and strategic collaboration among member states.
We were delighted to see our users engaging with the display, exploring, and learning more about this rich legacy of regional cooperation!
We highlighted our library’s news collection on GCC Summits via a QR code, promoting these valuable resources.
