It is my pleasure to welcome you to the website of the Computer Science Department at Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST).
The Department of Computer Science at GUST offers a cutting-edge Bachelor of Science program, accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET. The program is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience needed to excel in the fast-evolving field of computer science. Our curriculum includes courses in web and mobile application development, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and networking and communication. In addition, we offer internship opportunities and practicum courses to help students gain real-world experience.
GUST Computer Science students have earned remarkable achievements in programming contests and hackathons, including winning first place in the Gulf Programming Contest, Kuwait Collegiate Programming Contest, and Hackathons. Some of our students have also co-authored research articles published in Q1 journals.
Our department boasts a highly qualified faculty with expertise in areas such as software engineering, machine learning, optimization, cybersecurity, and data mining. We also offer state-of-the-art facilities, including the digital fabrication lab (Fab Lab), and Huawei ICT Academy.
