Dr. Gertrude Hewapathirana participated and presented three papers (online conference) at the Academy of Human Resource Development International Conference in America February 17-19, 2020.
Mr. Ahmet Yildirim presented paper I have presented a paper titled “The Effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic on
International Contracts: Revival of Hardship and Force Majeure” in the 2nd International Economics and
Business Symposium titled “Effect of Covid-19 in All Dimensions”, organized by the Journal of Economics,
Business, and Political Researches, and Journal of Pure Social Sciences on 27-28 May 2021 in Gaziantep, Turkey.
Dr. Yasean Tahat was a Keynote Speaker in Asia-Pacific Management Accounting Association. Marking the Digital Transformation in Accounting and Finance, Summer Webinar, 16-17 August 2021. He also attended and organized the following Workshops:

GUST Alumni Center 22nd Career Fair
Kuwait City, 23 June 2021: Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) held its 22nd Annual Career Fair virtual for current GUST students and alumni to attend. The event, which hosted 33 different companies from various sectors, aimed at connecting GUST students and alumni with potential career opportunities. The Career Fair was held virtually on Khibra, a
Kuwait-based platform that offers employment services for university graduates in the Middle East.
Syrian Refugees Seminar
The Human Rights Club at GUST conducted a seminar with Aisha AlQassar: Advocate for refugees’ rights & war affected women.
The seminar was online and Aisha talked about the Syrian refugee’s situation, their difficult living conditions and what can we do to give help.
