On the Human Rights Day, the Global Studies Center shows the Czech-Danish film "The Killing of a Journalist" (2022) by Matt Sarnetcky. The film is an investigatory documentary about corruption in Slovakia. The screening will be followed by a discussion animated by Kuwaiti filmmaker and human rights advocate Dima Alansari.
Synopsis: In Slovakia, a young investigative journalist is brutally murdered. When the police files of the murder investigation are leaked to the reporter's colleagues, they uncover vast corruption reaching the highest levels of Slovak society.
