GEAR Activities
1. GUST's sponsorship of the PIERS (Photonics and Electromagnetics Research Symposium). PIERS is a major international conference held annually, often twice a year, in different countries. It attracts between 1,000 to 2,000 participants and features 20 to 40 keynote speakers. Future Conferences: April 2025 in Abu Dhabi, UAE, November 2025 in Japan
2. GUST engineering and Applied Innovation Research Center hosted an online talk, with more than 100 attendees, titled as AI for Brain Imaging and Brain Computer Interface , on Tuesday 7th May, 2024 at 4PM. The talk was presented by Dr. Bin He - one of the world’s top influential biomedical engineers.
3. On 8th May, GEAR organized a workshop (Cybersecurity Awareness Workshop) in cooperation with Dr. Safaa Zaman, President of Kuwait Association for Information Security, Kuwait University. Attendees were more than 100 students.
